Located just 8 miles from Edinburgh City and 15 miles from Edinburgh Airport, Old Millhouse is a 300-year-old stone house with striking décor and highly finished self-catering home. Set on the banks of the River Esk, there are 3.5 acres of mature gardens to enjoy, plus the 1,000 acre Dalkeith Country Park, just a short 15-minute walk away, which dates back to Roman times. This charming heritage building in the small village of Dalkeith dates back to 1703 and is now a stunning three story home with lovely interiors. The five unique bedrooms are all en suite and the house will sleep 10 guests comfortably. Four of the bedrooms are King beds that can also separate into two single beds, and one bedroom is a permanent twin. There is a stunning modern kitchen with all that our guests will need to prepare meals and, if required, a Chef can of course come and take care of the cooking for them. We especially love the orangery with glass on three sides to enjoy the views and a splendid dining room. The inviting drawing room and the den all offer our guests space to relax. Outside, there is a large terrace featuring a hydro swimming pool and outdoor furniture. We are so excited that guests staying here are only 20 minutes from one of our favorite sites in Scotland; Rosslyn Chapel.
