In the lush Ayrshire countryside of Scotland, Blairquhan Castle's 200 acre estate is located just 1 hour 15 minutes from Glasgow Airport. The original castle dates back to 1346, with the foundation of the current castle laid in 1821. The stunning woodland, grounds and gardens are perfect to enjoy with family and friends. This 15-bedroom fully serviced castle has 9 ensuite bedrooms and 3 additional bathrooms shared among the remaining 6 bedrooms; which are actually three sets of interconnecting rooms. Two rooms offer twin beds. Each bedroom is individually decorated to reflect its proud Scottish heritage and boast uninterrupted views of the scenery. Guests will enjoy breakfast in the large bright dining room, have some quiet reading time in the library, and gather together in the two drawing rooms. It is ideally located close to many leading golf courses such as Prestwick, Royal Troon and Turnberry, as well as the coastline where you can take a boat trip. Visitors can arrange an array of activities on the grounds during their stay such as mini Highland Games, archery, and falconry and ceilidh dancing or a whisky tasting. Celebrated guests will enjoy home-baked cakes along with tea or coffee throughout their stay as well as a tour of the Castle.
