Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, Montalcino, Italy
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is an outstanding 5,000-acre country estate developed by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo. This beautiful destination encompasses a restored medieval hamlet, ancient ruins, and a medieval church. Set in the UNESCO listed Val D’Orcia region (the first rural area on Earth to earn this distinction), this property is an ideal stop between Rome and Florence.
Featuring 42 luxurious Suites and 11 Exclusive Private Villas, there are few destinations in Italy more suited for discerning families who crave the best and are looking for a longer-stay base. Our Travel Design Teams even know the best tables in the recently refurbished Stables Bar. Tables 61-64 on the “conservatory side” are the finest spots for watching the sun set between the London rooftops whilst enjoying a cocktail. This bar was once indeed home to horses, when The Milestone was a private house, and it is now the home of one of the largest collections of Ellie Lambert Equestrian Art in the UK.
The location of this property is ideal for families, overlooking Kensington Park Gardens – London’s largest green space and an idyllic spot for children to run free (and burn off energy). The kind team loves preparing special picnics for families to enjoy from April – September, and the Princess Diana Memorial Playground within the park is one of the best children’s play areas in the world. The Royal Albert Hall, Notting Hill, and some of London’s best spots for antique shopping are nearby, ensuring there is something for every member of the family.
