Earlier this month we announced our new Celebrated Hotels for 2018. It is key to our mission that we curate the finest collection of properties that are reflective of the local character and charm of the UK, Ireland, and Italy. We wont’ simply book any hotel. It must receive outstanding feedback, have a team committed to excellence and pass an annual inspection. Our collection now has over 250 hand-picked hotels. After receiving an overwhelming response to our exciting additions, we decided to share even more about three of our newest hotels and why we added them to the Celebrated Collection.
The three properties below have three things in common: Each is located in popular destinations; Rome; The Cotswolds; and Edinburgh, they are all listed buildings which have been re-imagined from the inside out, and lastly, each possesses tremendous attributes to make a guest’s stay special.
Palazzo Scanderbeg
This 15th century palazzo could not be more centrally located. Palazzo Scanderbeg is just steps from the Trevi Fountain and other key points of interest in the Eternal City. Originally built as the home of an Albanian nobleman, the ancient palace has been artfully restored. There are 11 rooms and suites in the building, the vast majority of which are 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with full kitchenettes. This is a stellar option for families seeking a home away from home feel without sacrificing the amenities of a full-service hotel. There is a 24/7 front desk and concierge along with the option of in-room breakfast. Celebrated guests will receive a welcome bottle of sparkling wine.
The Lygon Arms
Following a massive investment by new owners and a change in management, The Lygon Arms is making a splash in The Cotswolds. It is now the sister hotel to Cliveden and Chewton Glen. Originally built as a coaching inn, the property has over 500 years of history dating back to the British Civil War. Located in the quintessential village of Broadway, it is the perfect base for exploring this bucolic rural region of England. The style here seamlessly blends new and old, and the staff is warm and friendly. We are excited to have another option for those wanting to base in a village while exploring the countryside. Celebrated guests will receive a guaranteed upgrade at time of booking and can enjoy a Cocktail Making Class with the Bar Team.
The Charlotte Square
With one of the most prestigious addresses in Scotland’s capital, The Charlotte Square Hotel is located in the heart of historic and vibrant New Town. There is no doubt that this property has made a splash in this happening Georgian neighborhood! As the newest Principal hotel, it has undergone a multi-million Pound restoration and refurbishment. The rooms and suites look fabulous, and we especially love their stunning internal courtyard, where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning or a cocktail in the evening. BABA, their Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, is one of the hottest scenes in Edinburgh and a great chance to hang with the locals. Celebrated guests will have the opportunity to attend a Gin or Whiskey Master Class and suite bookings receive a complimentary bottle of house champagne and canapes during stay.
