After a massive 3-year restoration project, Cameron House re-opened to guests in September 2021. Already regarded as one of the best resorts in the UK prior to the extensive upgrades, we are beyond impressed by this “new” luxury resort. The original manor dates to the 17th century, and the best suites can be found in this area of the building that is now referred to as the Auld House. Our favorite rooms and suites have majestic views of Loch Lomond, and some even have terraces. Cameron House commands a dramatic setting on the banks of Loch Lomond in the National Park, yet it is less than 30-minutes from Glasgow Airport. The hotel makes the most of its location with an array of activities that include hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, stand-up paddle boarding, boating, seaplane rides, golf, and so much more. This has always been one of our favorite properties for families, as there is great dining diversity and an array of interconnecting bedrooms and even some special rooms have bunk beds for younger children!
